When I build a kitchen it must serve any user, and, for the owner, be designed so that by putting a hand out the right tool will be in it. Insight about your cooking, your stuff, your space, and how you interact with it will help craft a workspace for the cooking you do or want to do. While serving that higher purpose, good design is also useful even for a modest project by product specification and accurate cost analysis for planning.
